Been training all year long for ACRS Walk for Rice? Come join us for a community lunch benefit with Sous Chef Alex Kong of Perche No Pasta & Vino and owner of Mangia Me on June 4th!

- PORTOBELLO FUNGHI ALLA GRIGLIA: our famous marinated grilled portabella

ABOUT ALEX KONG:
The owner of Seattle’s newest food truck ‘Mangia Me', Alex has been cooking for as long as he can remember. Having grown up around Italian food from working in his parent’s restaurant ‘Perche’ No,’ Alex has mastered every aspect of the culinary industry, from being in the front of house to the back of the kitchen , Alex apprenticed under his father, classically-trained chef David Kong, learning to craft fresh, handmade pastas and sauces from scratch, while building a solid base of culinary skills.
A seasoned traveler, Alex has been around the world, each new place making for new adventures, traditions, cultures, and above all; lasting culinary experiences.
Food has always played a major role in Alex’s life; bringing those he loves together, providing a foundation for his family and an outlet for his creativity and culinary passion. ‘Mangia Me’s’ main focus is to deliver outstanding Italian food made fresh everyday with love.
What is ACRS Walk for Rice?
Walk for Rice is a fundraising event featuring a 2.5 mile walk/run. Each year, over 1,000 participants help raise money for Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) to buy rice and other food for the ACRS Food Bank.
